I Hear Dead People
If you’re walking down a dark, lonely street in New York City and you hear a voice inside your head — fear not. You haven’t lost your mind, you’ve simply come across an innovative new advertisement for A&E’s Paranormal State.
The technology behind it is called HoloSonic and it actually projects a sound wave into your brain so you literally are hearing voices in your head. Creepy, huh? Ironically, the technology was made for less creepy uses such as providing tours in quiet places such as museums or reducing noise pollution in the city. But people who experienced the voices late at night weren’t thinking ads when the female voice said, “It’s not your imagination. . . ”
Intrusive, maybe? Cool? Definitely! And if you’re in Los Angeles you might have seen the spooky billboard where the mechanical face pushes through? It’s all designed to make you tune in tonight when A&E premieres Paranormal State. It’s Blair Witch meets The Real World as college students struggle with schoolwork, dating and ghost hunting!
Visit the official website for a preview and to get in on the ghost hunting. If you love all things supernatural (great fodder for you Supernatural fan fic writers), don’t miss the Paranormal State Insider blog where you can submit your own ghost story or urban legend.
