Out Here on the Fringe
Casting continues on the new Fox SciFi series, Fringe with lead roles going to John Noble and Lance Reddick.
The two-hour X-Files-ish pilot is about a young female FBI agent who must work with Dr. Walter Bishop (Noble), an institutionalized scientist in order prevent a paranormal event of cataclysmic proportions.
Reddick has been cast as Phillip Broyles, special agent for Homeland Security who heads the special Fringe division, established to investigate a series of terrorist/paranormal events.
The role of the female FBI agent has yet to be cast.
The drama is being helmed by a trio of winners, J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci who come to the project from work on Transformers and Star Trek the movie. The pilot move is reported to have a budget of over 10 million dollars.
Now that’s a lot of pressure to succeed!
