It’s Not So Scary Without the Shaky Cam
This, believe it or not, is the Cloverfield monster. In this plastic form, it’s hard to fathom this is the thing that caused New York so much trouble. I guess it just goes to show that scariness is all in the presentation.
The part that did scare me? Hasbro wants $100 for this thing. They’re taking pre-orders now. It does come with some other accessories including a Statue of Liberty head and 10 parasites. Apparently the toy company realizes it’s not that scary either. They say the toy is acceptable for children 4 and up.

Yeah, we knew it was gonna be lame just from that “shaky-cam” trailer…We hate those kind of video presentation films, expressly for that reason it makes us dizzy & quesy…As it is, I just make it thru J_Bruckheimer movies…Needless, we saved our money w/that one.
