I’ve Never Been So Happy About A Delay
20th Century Fox has announced the live action adaptation of the wildly popular anime Dragonball won’t bow until ‘09. Dragonball was originally scheduled for an Aug.15 release, but Fox is clearing the way for Star Wars fans to feel the force with an animated Clone Wars film that week.
That movie will lead into a regular series on TNT and Cartoon Network. Probably a smart move on Fox’s part not to cannibalize one of these - oh who are we kidding? Clone Wars was going to take Dragonball’s lunch money, give it a wedgie and hang it from the flagpole in the school courtyard.
The year delay gives someone time to stop this abomination from happening, or at least give it the straight-to-DVD treatment it deserves.

Too bad they haven’t announced the movie delayed indefinitely. Hope the boycott against this movie in Japan will convince them to do so.
