Doctor Travels Space, Time and PS2

The long-running sci-fi character Doctor Who is now adding “home consoles” to the impressive list of places and times he’s traveled to. Videogame news site videogaming247 is reporting that Eidos, the company most famous for the Tomb Raider series of games, is working on a Doctor Who game.

It’s coming to the PC, Sony’s PlayStation 2 and the portable Nintendo DS system. No release date is confirmed, but an Eidos rep said the company will show the game to the press “quite soon.” Considering the spotty track record of the videogame industry when it comes to TV and movie properties, the Doctor’s hardest mission ever may be ensuring that this game doesn’t bite.
