Gugino Heads to Witch Mountain

Carla Gugino (who still isn’t negotiating with me regarding that pesky restraining order) has joined the cast of The Artist Formerly Known as The Rock Dwayne Johnson’s latest Walt Disney vehicle.
Race to Witch Mountain is a remake re-imagining of the classic Disney effort Escape to Witch Mountain. Gugino plays a discredited UFO expert (aren’t they pretty much all discredited?) who helps a pair of psychic siblings escape evildoers. Johnson plays a cab driver who helps in those efforts. Just firing blind here, but I’m guessing his character has a gruff exterior that masks a heart of gold.
What, it could be worse than The Gameplan?

She’s a decent actress, but I can’t get excited about this movie. Just sounds like another excuse to avoid coming up with original ideas. I also can’t quite picture The Rock as a cab driver.
