Universal Picks a Dark Horse Candidate

With comic book movies (the good ones at least) becoming a license to print money, Universal Pictures and Dark Horse Entertainment have formed a partnership. Dark Horse is one of the largest publishers in the comic industry besides juggernauts Marvel and DC Comics.
The deal gives Universal access to the wealth of Dark Horse properties including Hellboy and The Mask, both of which have already been made into hit movies. Dark Horse would have the right to finance its own projects and get Universal to distribute them. Dark Horse’s latest movie, Hellboy II: The Golden Army is being done by Universal.
