All New Content Coming to SCIFI.com
SCIFI.com, the web portal for SCI FI Channel is ramping up the digital content this season with lots of fun new games, videos and even a special series by Atlantis star David Hewlett.
GAMES
It all begins in April, when the network launches a brand new game portal as an extension of the SCI FI brand. This goes with their new commitment to take properties such as The Stranded to all levels including TV, print, digital and even mobile. The new game site will include a gamers blog and sneak peeks at the newest games in town.
The SCI FI Game Center will be dedicated to sci-fi themed games including basic games themed to match SCI FI Channel TV shows.
GALACTICA
Exclusive Battlestar Galactica Season 4 Premiere
Battlestar Galactica fans online will get a 9-hour jump on TV viewers as SCI FI unveils the seasson premiere via live stream on SCI FI.COM on Friday, April 4 at Noon EST. In the episode titled He That Believeth in Me, the thin line that separates humanity from the rapidly evolving Cylons is redrawn as Starbuck returns from the dead with claims that she has found planet Earth.
Battlestar Galactica Season 4 Webisodes
Galactica Webisodes return for the 4 and final season and Universal Media Studios will produce ten 2-3 minute serialized webisode chapters that complement and enhance the action broadcast on SCI FI.
Join The Fight! Cylon or Human
Are you Cylon or Human? Pick your side with this new social gaming experience for BSG fans. After designating identities for themselves, individuals will engage the enemy, attempting to accrue points for their respective teams through online games and challenges. There will be a battle each week, with one of the teams being declared the victor. Users can earn personal points (cubits) on an ongoing basis as well, giving them the currency to do things like “pimp” their own virtual viper or raider. The community will also be able to comment on one another’s pages, load photos, form groups and build their own network of friends.

Original Web Series Starcrossed
Starcrossed is a new web series that obliterates the fourth wall with its behind-the-scenes antics. Throwing in a bitter dose of Galaxy Quest cynicism for good measure, David Hewlett (Stargate Atlantis’ “Dr. Rodney McKay”) draws on his own experiences to pen this quirky Web series about life behind the camera at a long-running sci-fi space soap.
