Sega is handling the development of the game based on this summer’s Incredible Hulk movie. They’ve released some new information to get gamers and comic book fans excited. Sega has big shoes to fill, as the last Hulk game Ultimate Destruction was one of the best superhero games ever.

Sega notes some key features they hope will draw gamers in this June on PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and DS, PS2 and PC.

Unlimited Destruction: Become the Incredible Hulk and experience unlimited destruction. Players can demolish anything in their path and also use it as a weapon – pieces of a crumbling building…a passing car…a light standard. They can even demolish buildings with their bare hands. Damage is persistent, and gamers can use it to gain access to previously unreachable areas.

Powerful Rage: Rage is power. Build the Hulk’s rage to learn powerful moves. Cause unheard-of damage to gain and upgrade his abilities.

Incredible Scale: New York City’s towering skyscrapers allow for exciting vertically based gameplay, while powerful, massive enemies such as Bi-Beast and the Abomination challenge the Hulk’s might.

Dynamic Open World: A realistic next-gen, open-world representation of Manhattan provides gamers with an immense playground of destruction that also contains sub-quests, minigames, and a story that reaches beyond the film to include elements from classic Marvel comics.

Actually, a lot of that sounds like it came straight out of Ultimate Destruction. That’s not a bad thing. I mean people are still cribbing stuff from the Grand Theft Auto series.

i dont like movie to games translations.if you want to do a good superhero game leave the movie crap out of it.because if the movie sucks more than likely the games going to suck.theres enough material surrouding all superheros to make a great game with.case and point how cool would it be to have the hulk fight the thing!or the whole f.four.bring in the submariner as a side mission.allow hulk to call in the avengers as a super attack.why

why reuse the abomination? he was cool in ultim.destruction, but lets up the ante.the hulk has fought so many great foes the skies the limit.the absorbing man,the ufoes, attuma, machine man,the leader, the wrecking crew, ice giants, draagon, and countless others.i dont want to play another game where he fights the military all day.throw in a lot of superpowered beings for him to fight.if he hits someone really hard have them fly through buildings.let the collaterl damage mount up, to where he gets bigger and stronger the more he fights.ohh, if only i where a game designer, all would remember the name…son of jorel

I’m a little more hopeful for this movie, but more than a little undecided about the game. It sounds like they pulled some of the good stuff from Ultimate Destruction. We’ll see soon enough I guess.
