KITT, I Need Turbo Boost Now!
March 31, 2008 by brian
The high-profile failure of Bionic Woman hasn’t stopped NBC from rolling the dice on another revamp. After a February backdoor pilot for Knight Rider was a surprise ratings hit, there was widespread speculation that the show had earned a spot on NBC’s fall slate.
The network has confirmed its Knight Rider episodic order for the 2008-09 season. Though critically panned, viewers tuned in to see former soap star Justin Breuning and a cast of other Hollywood hot bodies burn up the road. They’re talking about a Friday night time slot, which would be a return to Rider’s 1980’s stomping grounds. With the economy in a slowdown and bad news coming in on the international front, NBC is trying to offer the escapism it thinks viewers will crave. The plot has changed precious little from the old days, even down to the family in question. Breuning plays the son of David Hasselhoff’s Michael Knight character. For a man who according to the show’s intro “does not exist,” Knight really got around.

It neither that bad nor was it that good but i will watch simply if SIDNEY POITER is part of the cast.

No problem. It’s a wild time. The one-two punch of Hulk/The Happening almost snuck up on me.
There arent enough “Turbo Boosts” in the new Knight Rider series. In the old KR, there were about 11 or 12 “Turbo Boost”s in the series. I should know. I have and have seen EVERY episode.
Val Kilmer doesnt sound enough like the old KITT either. He needs to not be so “not like the old KITT”.
And the New KR isnt enough like the Old KR. The New Knight Rider is more Adultish like Batman is now. But even though im only 12 years old, I still watch the New KR.
In my first comment when I said “there were 11 or 12 Turbo Boosts in the series”, I meant So far.
In the new Knight Rider, Turbo Boost should have sound effects.
