X-Files’ Bowman Joins Castle, AMC Does Towers

by Cynthia on April 8th, 2008

X-Files director Rob Bowman has signed on to direct the pilot of the new ABC series “Castle.”  The series revolves around a horror novelist who consults for the NYPD.  Sounds vaguely “Night Stalkerish” to me, which Bowman also directed.

AMC is currently working on its own paranormal series called “Riverview Towers,” a thriller abut a family that moves into an apartment building where weird things begin to happen.  The former all-movie network broke the mold last year when they developed their first original dramatic series, “Mad Men.”  The show was both popular with the viewer and critically acclaimed, so it will be interesting to see if they can do it again with this spooky series with great potential.
