Dawson Leads Gemini Division for NBC

April 17, 2008 by Cynthia

In an unusual move, NBC has acquired the rights to two scifi Internet series for use — on the Internet.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rosario Dawson will star in “Gemini Division” about a New York City cop who uncovers a conspiracy involving the creation of simulated life forms.  The series will run as 50 three-minute episodes and they will air on a variety of NBC related websites including NBC.com.

The second series, from the same production company is a zombie comedy called “Woke Up Dead.”

In conflicting statements, NBC reported the the shows will also be sewed together to form half-hour episodes for TV, then noted that neither series is “intended to migrate directly from the Internet to television.”

Huh?  Maybe the folks at NBC are actually simulated life forms who haven’t yet learned how to cover their double speak.  Need a lesson, NBC?  Watch the presidential debates and you’ll see how the pros do it.
