ETA: The CW has changed the photo captions to say the young man in the photo is Nathaniel Marten, not Jensen. Shoot. I would have loved to see dear Dean in such a predicament!
Controversy reigns! Is it Dean (Jensen) in these photos or not? The CW says it is. But look at the longish hair and no tattoo. What’s up with that? Could it be a flashback? Got me. I just report what they tell me.

From what I can see, that doesn’t look like Dean. The actor’s hair is much too long. Plus the Jaw line is too square and wide.
Though I will say this: BILLY DRAGO!! I love that man. He is extremely creepy in anything he does, and I will scream for his screen presence. They picked the perfect person to play a freaky doctor. Props Supernatural! Keep it up with the awesome bit roles.

Maybe it’s going to be some kind of flashback. This Jensen looks younger (due to the shaven skin and longer hair) and would not need the tattoo.

But, when the episode airs, all shall be revealed. And Cynthia, I would hate to have your job right now, though getting news straight from the source is pretty cool just the same.

personally I think it is Jensen (Dean).
I do believe the storyline to this Episode will explain why Dean looks the way he does
(ie: longer hair and the absence of the tattoo)
either way, we all win, new Episode of Supernatural … priceless!

The jawline looks similar to Jensen, but to me, the mouth and stubble look like Jared. However, if the episode is explaining why the demon holding Dean’s contract wants him so badly, this may be a flashback scene. Therefore they may have Jensen’s hair longer to show him younger. JA looks a lot younger (and a lot “prettier”) with his hair longer.
Guess we’ll have to wait and see!

Someone mentioned above about storyline. I read a little while ago that this character MIGHT be someone Dean talks to later. The doctor conducts a surgery on this person whilst they are awake. So this could be what that picture/scene is from!

That’s Jensen. Come on, the minute I seen the pictures I knew it was him. Hasn’t anyone ever heard of colored contacts, wigs and they can definitely hide a tattoo with makeup or computer editing. He looks great.

Dean is talking with a 30-something guy, who is deeply traumatized about the fact that he just got his kidney stolen. Dean says he’ll be quick and points out that the ‘cops’ just want to get this guy. The Victim asks if it’ll get back his kidney and Dean ignores the question asking what the guy last remembers.
The Victim says that he remembers feeding the meter then getting jumped from behind. He woke up strapped to a table only to experience the most horrible pain imaginable and then blacking out again. He woke up screaming in some motel in a tub full of ice.
Dean asks if the victim remembers anything about the surgery, what the guy looked like, any room details. The Victim gives Dean a rather sarcastic reply and states yeah, he remembers getting his kidney getting cut out his body.
Dean considers this and then thanks the man for his time.

I don’t get Dean…in season he was the cautious one…the one who was never easily convinced about anyone or anything. Dean’s mottos ….Demons always lie, no chick moments, and everything dead should stay dead. Is it me or has Dean become weaker over the years….and not the tough hunter he used to be???

If you know (Dean) Jensen, NO WAY! These are clearly not pics of him. Too many differences between the 2 guys. Though, I do like the clone idea to save his life I don’t think Demons could be fooled by that. I know that the Powers-that-B will think of something clever to save our boys life. And a call from the grave may have the answer!! Glad to hear we will get to see JDM again.
After reading the description for the episode it says that Dean leaves Sam to deal with the good doctor:

SAM AND DEAN MEET DOC BENTON; BELA’S FATE IS REVEALED As time runs out for Dean (Jensen Ackles), Sam (Jared Padalecki) convinces him to head to Eerie, Pennsylvania to investigate a possible zombie case. Instead, they discover Doc Benton (guest star Billy Drago), a real-life doctor who, in 1816, abandoned his medical practice to follow his obsession with finding the key to eternal life by drugging people and stealing their vital organs. Meanwhile, Bobby (Jim Beaver) finds out where Bela (Lauren Cohan) is hiding, and Dean heads out to confront her, leaving Sam behind to deal with the good doctor. Dean and Bela battle it out for the last time, and Dean leaves Bela in a desperate, and possibly fatal, position.

It’s not the two main cast. It’s Nathaniel Marten - a jogger who became the doctor’s victim. Seen the episode.
