And The Implosion of Smallville Continues

by brian on May 10th, 2008

Alison Mack nc At this rate, there won’t be any interesting characters left on this show. Alison Mack, who plays inquisitive young reporter Chloe Sullivan, told TV Guide she hasn’t signed a contract for season eight yet.

For those scoring at home, Mack’s departure would follow that of Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor), Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lang) and oh yeah, the show’s creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. Clark Kent, meet your greatest enemy of all: The Shark. And no, I don’t mean the old Green Lantern villain. Let’s just say that since Clark can’t fly, he’s gonna have to jump this one. A final season of Gilmore Girls reference would no doubt be appropriate here.

Of course, making it to eight seasons is more than I ever expected for a comic book show that threw out much of the comic’s mythology. You had a good long run, Smallville, you had a good long run.

I keep thinking of the line in X-Men: You’d rather be wearing yellow and blue spandex? I saw Speed Racer a couple of hours ago, my eyes have still not adjusted.

Hey John, the Sheriffs did notice Clark always being involved. Probably why they kept dying (or getting jailed) A Smallville without Lex and Lana could have rolled to a finish in season eight, but lose Chloe and it’s just going to crash and burn.

Really on the spot losing Chloe is jumping the shark no more SV they will had to cancel it before the three first episodes. I know a lot of people that are watching because of Chloe, me included.
But no SV didn’t had a good run since S5. Then it became a stalling mess.
