Lost Adds Hours to Final Two Seasons

Since Lost well, lost hours to the writers’ strike, ABC will add an hour each to the 2009 and 2010 seasons of the show. That will make them 17 hours instead of the typical 16.
Show co-creator Damon Lindelof told the Hollywood Reporter since the strike cost them three hours this year, ABC added an additional hour this year. Adding an hour apiece to the final two seasons puts the network’s order at the exact same number they negotiated last year.
He said this shouldn’t be interpreted as an attempt to squeeze another full season out of the show.
“It’s better to retire your number at the top of your game,” Lindelof said.
That’s absolutely the right call. Hopefully Battlestar Galactica and Lost will send a message by walking away at the right time. Although BSG’s going to the well again with Caprica.
