ET Phone Denver
Forget that long distance phone call home, apparently all ET has to do is dial Denver if he wants to contact family.
Jeff Peckman, the man pushing for an “extraterrestrial affairs commission” in Denver, held a news conference today to show what he said was conclusive proof of aliens on earth. The film shows a long shot of a window in a house and then a few seconds of a vague “alien-shaped” head peeking up. The eyes blink and that’s pretty much it.
If it’s true, then aliens haven’t changed much over the years. They all still look like those typical sketches that have been floating around since the 40’s. But don’t even begin to think that this film is a hoax, Peckman had the footage examined by a film school professor who certifies it to be genuine.
According to the professor, you’d have to have Hollywood special effects skills and a huge budget to produce the clip that was shown to the press today. Or not. Daniel J. Chacon of the Rocky Mountain News who live blogged the event and he tells of a debunker who showed up with a similar film that was shot with a plastic alien toy in only a few hours. Total cost? $90.00.
Peckman originally stated that he would not release any photos to the press, but he did offer a shot up to ABC News and you can see that HERE. You can visit The Rocky Mountain News to see the debunkers film, which is truly cool and creepy.
Hoax or not, Peckman is getting what he wanted, which is press coverage of his quest for the extraterrestrial affairs commission. The commission, as he puts it, would ensure the safety of aliens and /or “their vehicles” and Peckman is on his way to getting the 4,000 signatures he needs to make the city ballot.
As far as real proof goes, I wonder if there ever can be such a thing. In this day of mobile media, where almost everyone has a camera in their cell phone, it’s a wonder we haven’t caught photos of more aliens, UFO’s and even Bigfoot! Then again, even if you did happen to record some fabulous phenomena, no one would believe you. Films and photos are just too easy for the average person to fake.
So until a full-sized space ship lands on the lawn of the White House, we’ll all just have to stick to the new X-Files motto: “I Want to Believe: The Truth is Out There.”
