Alone in The Dark Returns in June
Popular survival-horror game Alone in the Dark will release the latest chapter in its saga June 24 on the Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 2 and PC. It will come out on the PS3 at a later date.
Atari’s going for the “open-world” feel that games in the post-Grand Theft Auto era are very much expected to have. AITD will have an episodic game structure that looks to play out like a TV show. Each time a player restarts a saved game they’ll be treated to a video recap of what they did previously.
Last night on Alone In the Dark- you killed some freaky creatures! Stay tuned for.. actually I’m getting a little ahead of myself, but not of the game designers. They promise every “episode” in the game will end in a cliff hanger and if a player wants to quit the game they’ll be treated to a teaser of upcoming events.
New York’s famed Central Park is the setting for the game’s events. Fitting, because I can’t think of many places I would less like to be alone at night. You can find out more at the Alone in the Dark website.
