Doc Ock Will Meet Prince of Persia
Variety tells us that Alfred Molina, best known to sci-fi fans as Spider-Man 2’s Doctor Octopus, is in the cast of Disney’s Prince of Persia flick. Molina will play Sheik Amar, a mentor to Jake Gyllenhaal’s prince.
Gemma Arterton and Ben Kingsley round out the cast announced so far. For those of you scoring at home, that’s exactly one actor (Kingsley)with an ethnic background that fits this film in any way, shape, form or fashion. Do you love Hollywood as much as I do? The film is based on a series of video games, ordinarily the kiss of death for any movie. But with Walt Disney financing it and mega-director Jerry Bruckheimer helming it, it almost has to be a box office smash.
