Sarah Connor is Back on DVD

With the writer’s strike and the shortened seasons, I wasn’t sure the studios were going to bother putting out DVDs on some of this year’s new shows.
One of those shows was Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. With only a handful of episodes in the can, Warner Brothers went for it anyway, loading on more extras than eps and topping it off with a pretty standard $29.98 price.
The DVD will street on August 19 and will include commentaries on three episodes by executive producer Josh Friedman and cast and crew members, a three-part “Creating the Chronicles” featurette, an extended producer’s cut version of episode seven, audition and rehearsal footage, “Terminated” scenes, a storyboard animatic and a gag reel.
The series will also be available on Blu-Ray, which is a pleasant surprise.
Warner Brothers will also release a full season DVD of Pushing Daisies on September 16. A little lighter on the frills, it contains nine episodes and a “Pie Time” featurette.
