Clone Wars Collectible Covers

From our friends at TV Guide:
A long time ago in a movie house far, far away (Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, to be exact) a little kid named Dave Filoni watched a reissue of Star Wars and went wild over a fleeting line of dialogue. “There’s a scene where Luke Skywalker says to Obi-Wan Kenobi, ‘You fought in the Clone Wars?’ and that got my imagination all fired up,” Filoni tells TV Guide in the August 11th issue. “My brother and I were like, ‘Wow, there’s history here? Something called the Clone Wars came before Star Wars? And what the heck is a clone?’”
Filoni would eventually find the answer to that question in a very big way. In the ultimate dream of a Star Wars geek, Filoni – now 34 – has taken the torch from grand master George Lucas and directed Stars Wars: The Clone Wars (which opens in theaters on August 15) as well as the weekly STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS animated television series, which premieres in the fall on Cartoon Network.
“The move to television lets us push the limits of the galaxy George created,” says Filoni, who promises the series won’t be all-Jedis all the time. “We have episodes from the POV of the various villains and personal stories about the clone troopers. There’s a lot of humor, especially with the droids being so dim-witted.”
Anthony Daniels is the only performer to appear in all incarnations of Star Wars. “I’ve now played C-3PO for over half my life, which is extremely odd considering I nearly turned the job down,” the 62-year-old Brit admits to TV Guide. “I was such a snob that I refused to meet with George Lucas about the role! I didn’t want to be a robot in a low-budget sci-fi movie.”
About the CD-Rom and Four Collectible TV Guide Covers:
The bonus multimedia CD-ROM, which was created by TV Guide and Lucasfilm Ltd., features favorite Star Wars characters as well as new additions to the galaxy: Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan learner Ashoka Tano, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Asajj Ventress, Yoda and Count Dooku, and R2-D2 and C-3PO. The disk contains never-before-seen material from the TV show including sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes video of the making of the TV series, on-camera commentary with executive producer George Lucas and director Dave Filoni, and on-camera commentary with a photo gallery of characters featured in the TV series.

so Lucas finally got to make (or a least approve of) a whole Star Wars movie after his love for CGI… the movie looks fun though
This came out same wkd as Tropic Thunder…After all the funny tvads 4 thunder & because it star Stiller & Downer, Jr…we decided 2 see it instead…I don’t regret it, but Tropic is definitely an “R” comedy.
Was “Clone Wars” worth seeing or just wait 4 DVD?
