Psycho Special Edition Wows it on DVD

August 14, 2008 by Cynthia

psycho_DVD Okay, so Psycho isn’t a scifi film, but it’s Hitchcock and it was the inspiration for thousands of slasher filmmakers to go out and find a Marion Crane of their own.

The shower scene in Psycho is one of the most recognized and copied movie death scenes and it has left many a woman (and quite a few men) taking baths for the rest of their lives. The Psycho house is not only a staple of the Universal Studios Tour, it’s also been used in dozens of other TV and movie projects specifically because it is so recognizable.  Put it all together and it spells MOTHER and now Universal is cranking it up a notch.

Psycho: The 2 Disc Special Edition will be released on DVD on October 7 and includes some amazing extras.
