The Emersons at the Emmys

OK, so Michael Emerson (Lost’s diabolical Ben Linus) didn’t win the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Zeljko Ivanek won for his role in FX series Damages. We couldn’t even get former sci-fi actor love as William Shatner (who we feel compelled to remind you was not offered a cameo in the Star Trek movie, according to him) was nominated for Boston Legal.

But even if you don’t win, you can still look great on the red carpet. Here’s Emerson with his wife, actress Carrie Preston,who is currently appearing on HBO’s True Blood. That is an SFUniverse power couple if ever I’ve seen one. In an ironic casting twist, Preston played Ben Linus’ mother on Lost. Her character died after childbirth and was featured in flashbacks, allowing directors to cast an actress so close to Emerson’s age.
