V Returns to TV

According to Variety, Scott Peters, co-creator of 4400 is working on an updated version of the 80’s scifi series “V.”
“Whenever I mention ‘V’ to anybody, they still have a lot of good memories about the original movie and series,” Peters said. “Everybody has that imagery of their uniforms, or the visitor eating a hamster. It’s a science fiction icon and too good to pass up.”
The original series began where many scifi movies begin, with an alien invasion — but instead of running for our lives, the human race befriends this master race putting a little too much faith in their promises of a better world. Turns out these pretty faces from space are actually masks — the aliens are two legged lizards! Rebel forces attempt to show the rest of the world the truth, chaos ensues and a mini-series becomes a weekly show with Marc Singer leading the way.
As was the way of many 80’s scifi shows, “V” went from the sublime to the ridiculous. The premise held promise but it got bogged down in fluff. Battlestar Galactica made the transition from fun action to series scifi and I think the same can be done for “V.”
I’m looking forward to it.

This is gonna be AWESOME! I’m a huge fan of the original series, and I definitely think that this is in VERY good hands. I read that Jace Hall is actually on of the producers on the project, which is great because he’s the guy who founded Monolith Games (they made F.E.A.R, Condemned, TRON 2.0) so he knows what he’s doing when it comes to storytelling and creating atmosphere. I actually found a show he has online that’s just called The Jace Hall Show, and it’s one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. I CAN’T WAIT! Go JACE!
I loved that show! I remember the girl who had the half-lizard twins and the sweet lizard guy played by the Freddy Kreuger actor. Dangit, can’t remember his name though. And Diana was just wicked! I hope they can pull this off as well as they did BG.
