Heroes Game Axed By Ubisoft

November 8, 2008 by brian

Sylar Level 5 The group Outkast once infamously asked “What’s cooler than being cool?” The answer, “Ice Cold.” What’s colder than Ice Cold? The once powerful property that is NBC’s Heroes. Within the past two weeks, Entertainment Weekly has run a scathing article on how to fix the show and two of its mainstay writer/producers have gotten the heave-ho.

Now video game company Ubisoft is jumping off the bandwagon as well. MTV’s Multiplayer confirmed that the Heroes game announced last year and slated for a late 2008 release ain’t happening. That may not be the worst thing ever, since Ubisoft’s Lost and CSI games met with lukewarm critical reaction. But it’s another blow to the fading fortunes of what was once NBC’s hottest property.

I’m still hoping Heroes gets some kind of redemption.
*sigh* and I still love the show but it’s getting tough.
