Say Hello to Star Trek’s New Uhura

by brian on November 22nd, 2008

Uhura_CharacterPoster_72DPI                                                                 This is the very lovely Zoe Saldana, seen in the first Pirates of the Caribbean flick and on TV shows including Law and Order:Special Victims Unit.

Zoe will also be in the James Cameron blockbuster Avatar, which reportedly caused some scheduling problems for the Star Trek film. In an ironic bit of trivia, Zoe also played a Trekkie in the Tom Hanks film Terminal.

Oh, and did we mention she’s stunning? Just thought it warranted bringing up again. I love the black and white motif of these Star Trek posters, very classy and classic.

I can’t wait until May 09.

Yes Sir!! She is fine as hell!! The only reason that i watch Drumline and Guess Who? Little piece of Dominican heaven right there.

P.s. why does the trailer have a young James T Kirk a la Stars Wars, have they not learn from their mistake

Can anyone explain why they made this ST origins film? Maybe the ST fanatics are such a strong, steady & financially successful force that if they yell loud enough, it’s a done deal & guaranteed sale…As for me, I love ST just as much as the next guy, though SW is still paramount in my book, it just seemed that the last one completed the saga.

It’s one of Hollywood’s basic rules: never let a franchise go away if you can make a dollar on it. They’re redoing Friday the 13th, after all.
