Variety reports that Pushing Daisies’ Kristin Chenoweth wasn’t out of primetime work for very long at all. She will star in Legally Mad, a David E. Kelley show coming to NBC.

Chenowith will play Skippy Pylon, a brilliant attorney who exhibits flashes of psychosis. This is first major project to come out of the partnership between Kelley and Warner Bros., so a lot of industry eyes will certainly be following its progress.

I’m glad to see Chenoweth land on her feet after Daisies’ cancellation, but it makes me a little sad to lose a quirky fantasy show and gain another legal drama. Ah, what are you gonna do?

Yeah, i know what you mean. Not another Law& Order crapfest who watches those shows

I do want to see the British Law & Order with Freema Agyeman and Jamie Bamber. Now if they would just add crazy Romo Lampkin, best legal drama ever.
