BB174163@TORCHWOOD If you’re a Torchwood fan and you can get yourself to the New York Comic Con, you’ll be in for a real treat. BBC America will be unveiling a sneak peek of the new season as well as a massive billboard with all new imagery from the premiere and teaser which will be running on a Jumbotron outside of the convention.

Not enough?  How about a visit with Eve Myles and director Euros Lyn? They’ll be making their first US panel appearance on Saturday, February 7 at 4:15.  Lyn has been a regular director of Doctor Who, including the Hugo Award winning episode The Girl In The Fireplace. In 2009, he’ll be directing the entire Torchwood series and the two-part finale of the upcoming Doctor Who specials.

BB173988@TORCHWOOD This season of Torchwood will be unlike any other as the team embarks on a single action-packed adventure spread over a five-part series. It’s called Torchwood: Children of the Earth and according to creator Russell T Davies, Gwen and the gang will be up against the fiercest force they have ever encountered.

“Torchwood face their toughest battle to date in this new series,” says Davies.  “This latest threat causes global shockwaves and the team has to fight with everything they’ve got to survive. Viewers are in for a real treat.”

If you make it to the con, we’d love to see your photos and hear about your experience so be sure to let us know!
