Pilot King Travels to Eastwick

David Nutter, the pilot king, has signed on to direct the pilot for the Witches of Eastwick TV series. Nutter is 14 for 14 when it comes to directing pilots that go to series. Among his credits are Superantural, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Without a Trace.

Eastwick is a new supernatural series based on the movie of the same name (which was based on a book by John Updike). The plot revolves around three women who find they have magical powers when a mysterious man shows up in their small town, so basically Charmed without the sister link.

Nutter told Variety that he was pulled in by the characters and a great mystery.  He’ll be directing the pilot under the Warner Brothers shingle for ABC.
