PaleyFest Buffy Reunion Now on DVD

March 7, 2009 by Cynthia

Every year, the Paley Center for Media presents The PaleyFestival, a grouping of panel discussions honoring the best that TV has to offer. They have a long history of paying tribute not just to the highest rated shows on TV, but to those who do things a little differently.

One of the first PaleyFest panels I ever saw was for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and it was a terrific look inside the machine that made that show work.

A decade after the series premiere, (can you believe that!) the gang was reunited at the 2008 Paley Festival in front of a sell out crowd. Creator Joss Whedon joined cast members Sarah Michelle Geller, Seth Green, Amber Benson, Nicholas Brendon, Charisma Carpenter, Emma Caulfield, James Marsters, and Michelle Trachtenberg along with series writer/producers David Greenwalt and Marti Noxon for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at what is still a benchmark for genre TV. It was a fabulous night and now it’s all on DVD.

The Buffy Reunion DVD is only available through the website: www.paleycenter.org. The DVD includes the panel, fan questions and answers, backstage photos and video. It’s priced at 19.95 and all proceeds benefit the Paley Center which is working hard to preserve our television history.

That’s awesome that they all were there! Even Seth Green! I wish they’d make Buffy movie or a Spike and Willow spinoff.

  2. Sch says:

Yeah Willow and Oz were always my favorite characters.

Yeah Willow and Oz were always my favorite characters. I guess i tend to like the supporting characters more then the main ones, I always liked Gabriell better then Xena too. (yes i did watch all of Xena warrior princess that’s just the sort of geek i am)
