Galactica’s Music Whiz Is In The Game

April 2, 2009 by brian

galactica-kara-thumb It’s Bear McCreary’s world, we’re just livin’ in it. Fresh off his award-winning stint as Battlestar Galactica’s composer, Capcom has announced McCreary will score the upcoming third-person action game Dark Void.

McCreary said he’s a huge gamer and a big fan of Capcom’s games. Who isn’t? From arcade coin eaters like the Street Fighter series to horror hits including Resident Evil, Capcom has been as good to gamers as BSG is to sci-fi fans. This will be the first time McCreary has scored a game. The acclaimed musician said this is an opportunity he’s been waiting for and this game’s plot and gameplay drew him in.

The game combines jetpack action with run-and-gun combat, so I’ll be eagerly awaiting its release to see it it lives up to Bear’s music. Dark Void is supposed to release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC this year.
