Supernatural: Jump the Shark Promo Pics
April 3, 2009 by Cynthia
We’ll have to wait a couple of weeks, but the next episode up is called Jump the Shark, which is a reference to an infamous episode of Happy Days were Fonzie jumps his motorcycle over a shark tank. The title has come to mean that point in which a TV show takes a turn for the worst and it is epitomized by the addition of long lost relatives, cute kids and ratings stunts such as trips to Hawaii.
From what I hear, Kripke is going to throw it all at us, mocking (with love) the very elements that make the show work. Pretty basic, on the photos. . . could be first season shots almost. . .

OMG….Thanks for these pictures…The boys always look so fine and gorgeous….I love the first close-up picture of Sammy…
I do hope this is a joke and this “brother” is temporary. No good can come of it. This is absolutely the only good thing left on TV and I hope that they don’t spoil it. I would really hate to see another “Dawn” on Buffy situation. I have faith that the fact they know this would be jumping the shark give me reason to think they are just yanking our chains…cudos!!
I don’t think the “brother” can stay without the show itself Jumping the Shark…i mean we have the end of the world, angels, attempt at religious conversion of Dean–adding another brother would be like adding all the slayers at once in buffy–you knew i couldn’t go anywhere after that…i have a feeling they used that title with that great a sense of humor…or at least i hope
ha! i just notice i’m not the only one making buffy connections
It’s fun to finally watch a show that has sense of humor about itself. The talent on this show both in front of the camera and behind the scenes shows that we don’t really have to watch idiotic television (we just seem to chose to) Hope the rumors that it is ending after this season are just a ploy to keep us interested (remember when they were killing Rachel off of Friends). Good thing this show wasn’t picked up by one of the bigger studios…Sam would be dead by now and Dean would be picking out color samples for his new ‘Ghost Hunter’ business.
