Although I didn't "love" it, I enjoyed it very much as a sci-fi offering. And I was very impressed with this finale and the possibilities set up in the event of continuation for another season. But unfortunately, it's FOX, which is notorious for mistreating its sci-fi shows. It's really a shame if we don't get to see the rest of this story play out. It's true that many people don't watch it because it is assumed to be action only. However, it has repeatedly shocked me from the first episode, how witty and complex the writing is. Do you remember the first episode where a character hid behind an old Archie Bunker chair and that stopped all the bullets and they went to commercial break. They deliberately set all the geeks up to be complaining (Like I did) over the whole commercial break about how stupid it was for a chair to block the bullets. Then when they came back, there was a background conversations between two cops about how the chair was lined with kevlar and can you believe that. That was a message of things to come. The complex time line on this is incredible. I just realized last episode what was really going on and how I had been eagerly mislead for the last 5 eps. Can we talk about the twisted plot here? I've not seen the finale yet and I wonder how much more it reveals. I'm fairly certain I'm right. Last week's episode made it even more obvious. It will be a real shame if this series is canceled. The reason that no longer works is because we have more channels than we have had ten years ago, causing the viewership to spread overall. Another reason is that we are living in a "I want it now and I want it fast" nation, where we think everything should happen in the speed of light. If we used today's standards 20 years ago, we would not have the hit shows we enjoyed such as Simpsons, Seinfeld, Fraiser, and many other shows. Terminator may have been slow in mid season, but the series has found its direction, and needs to be given time to grow its audience. This is a series that can find a home in syndication as well, giving hope for the series survival. I certainly do wish the show will return for another season. It was a BSG season 2 type ender. I'll miss this series.
