Supernatural: When the Levee Breaks

April 22, 2009 by Cynthia

It’s coming down to the wire, folks and things are getting tense around the old Winchester farm. Looks like Bobby and Dean are going to work a little intervention but how often does that work out the way its supposed to. . .

No pics yet, but here’s the official word on Supernatural 4.21: “When the Levee Breaks” which airs Thursday, May 7.

DEAN AND BOBBY TRAP SAM IN THE PANIC ROOM — Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Bobby (Jim Beaver) lock Sam (Jared Padalecki) in Bobby’s panic room so he can detox from the demon blood. However, as Bobby sees more seals are being broken he tells Dean they should let Sam out to help them fight the impending apocalypse. Dean disagrees and goes to Castiel (Misha Collins) for help. Sam and Dean have a big blowout confrontation. Robert Singer directed the episode written by Sera Gamble (#3T7521).

I’m curious Cyn, why you put news that everybody (I think) already know about? Are you as impatient as I am or SamGirls for the (possible) Samcentric episode?

  2. Leah says:

Reading the buzz about this I don’t think it will be that Sam-centric at all. It will probably be like the rest of the season has been. I was looking forward to this episode but after reading the intro – nah, I think I’ll skip this one too.

I think it’s time for Kripke to tell the truth; Sam’s story is over and his fans shouldn’t expect any more. If Kripke had any regards for the fans that made his show, he should be up front with them and stop lying.

I don’t watch it regularly anymore, I only tune in to watch the odd Sam episodes but it it’s called a Sam-centric episode and the turns out to be the same old Dean’s daddy-issues, it’s going too far and is downright mocking the fans. That just reeks of desperation.

  3. ima says:

Heh, I’m so tired of Dean’s angst, he made Supernatural become Dawson Creek with Monsters.

  4. Linds says:

Dean’s angst? Jesus, Sam is so moody, whiny, and melodramatic about EVERYTHING it detracts from the show. He’s like a GIGANTIC, angsty, stubborn, impatient and stupid 15 year old. I’ll take Dean’s angst issues over Sam’s maturity level any day.
They just need to kill off Sam because he’s annoying and simply not a good guy anymore.

  5. Linds says:

P.S. They’re going to kill him off anyways. We all know it.

    ouch. yet, so true

    translate lol

  9. Lyn says:

I think it’s ridiculous that supposed fans of the show are split into two categories. I watch Supernatural which is a show about two brothers. Two brothers lives touched by demons and angels and everything in between. Two brothers who are going through hell, pardon the pun, and who will have to find a way out.

To say that you don’t watch the show because it’s Dean centered or Sam centered is a load of rubbish. You’re either a fan or you’re not. I think people should quit whinning about not having their favorite eye candy on the screen. The show is great, it’s extremely well written and it’s spun a differently kind of sotryline with the angels and demons, different than the usual stuff.

And to quote Dean, “For fan girls they sure complain a lot.”

And before anyone says anything. I love the two brothers. I can’t choose because that to me is sacrilegious.

  10. Steph says:

I TOTALLY agree with Lyn. Either you like the show thats about BOTH brothers trying to deal with the lives that their dad basicly forced them into… Or you hate the entire concept. Hard fact is… If you hate Same.. then you hate dean.. And vice versa.. You can’t like ONE brother and hate the other… Its just not possible… Sam is the sensitive, caring one and Dean is the hard-Ass one… they complete each other basicly.. they make up one person.. ou cant only hate half of a person…

  11. Alison says:

Lyn is so right! STOP COMPLANING! Supernatural isn’t about Sam and then about Dean, It’s about the two brothers TOGETHER! I love Sam and Dean just the same. If you don’t watch an episode because it’s not all about Sam or it’s not all about Dean then you’re obviously not a fan of the show.

  12. Alison says:

Anyway…The next episode looks so good!!! I can’t wait! Ugh! I could just punch Sam in the face though for trusting Ruby! I know he’s just trying to help but still, drinking demon blood?? He’s really going to the extremes. I hope Sam and Dean will get back together! and I hope in season 5 they will some how become like they used to be in season 1,2, and 3!

  13. ima says:

It always boggles my mind the fans who CARE to comment on another fans comment instead of the article above. This is not chat room. Chill.Let them complain all they want. Ignore them and ignore the comment. Why the need of attitude to another fans “stop this or that”. If you really just regular watcher, you dont care what people say, you dont need to explain to another who didnt enjoy as much as you are, etc, etc. acting that way actually shows that you are fanatic. Supernatural is JUST TV Show, Sam and Dean are just TV character. Its not religion to debate over. For God Sake.

  14. ima says:

On that note, I think trap Sam is stupid idea. Dean has been babysit the boy for almost 20 years but still dont get it. Dean just never learn how to handle Sam.Oh Dean.Oh Sam.Oh Boys.

  15. Sarah says:

My stomach is in knots waiting for the new episode! I really hate how the brothers slowly seem to be turning against each other. Sometimes I just wish they’d go back to the way they were in the earlier episodes, but oh well.
I hope the season/series ends well. I don’t need a happy ending – I just want Sam and Dean to be well, alive and together.

  16. Karen says:

Alastair’s coming to town! Sam’s freaking out! I love it, I love it, Sam’s having hallucinations! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Am I looking forward to this one, go baby go, go!

  17. Jessica says:

It’s because of Ruby showing him he’s powers he should have a look at what his powers are doing to everyone

  18. Angie says:

Haha, that’s adorable a whole post dedicated to saying that people should only post on the topic at hand… it’s well I want to say hypocritical, but ironic is probably a better fit.

Now, I love both brothers (I would probably marry either… or both!), I just love Sam more cause I am attracted to power more then I like bad boys, personally I think Bobby has the right idea… Bobby always has the right idea, Let Sam out, let him use his powers to their full potential. Even in the beginning Dean was iffy and prejudice against Sammy’s powers. This episode is gonna rock, I love to see Sam get down with his bad self, and him begging Dean to stop calling him a monster pulls at my heart strings. Tonight is going to be wicked sweet!

  19. Steve says:

Plain and simple the show wouldn’t be fucking good without any of the main characters, so instead of splitting into conflicts between which brother is cooler or better, just watch the god damn show, embrace yourself for a cool story line, and just relax and enjoy it while it’s still on television. BTW- not to sound like an ass by any means, but if anyones gonna try and contradict what I’m writing, you might as well keep to yourself because the chances of me coming back on this channel and reading is the same probability of michael jackson being straight.

  20. Taylor says:

All i no is that i luv supernatural the brothers and their fueds just make it seem like their real bros cause i mean no bro will be buds til the end they always have conflict and it makes it that much better i luv the both of them and damn their fine as hell lol and i am hocked i am sad i didnt get to watch this weeks episode god damn tv i just wanna cry i didnt get my sam and dean fix it a great show it has my 2 fav things horror and boys :)

  21. AnotherLinds says:

I agree with Lyn. (winks) I love the show, because well it’s cool, well written and the acting is actually quite fabulous. There aren’t many shows out there, where the storyline remains interesting and keeps you wanting more. It doesn’t get old or boring. I’m never confused as to what’s going on. It keeps my interest and I’m excited every time Thursday rolls around.

The whole cast is fantastic. I love Sam and Dean of course. But I also love, Bobby, Ellen, Jo, Castiel, Anna and I especially love ghostfacers. I really hope to see ghostfacers in one of the episodes of this final season. So stop complaining about the show. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. Stop ruining it for the rest of us. Cause the show is kick ass!
