Vampire Diaries Gets Smallville’s Time Slot
May 20, 2009 by Cynthia
It’s not official until tomorrow, but The Hollywood Reporter is saying that The CW is going for Supernatural Thursdays by slotting the new Vampire Diaries in at 8:00 right before Supernatural at 9:00. Smallville will bump to Friday nights which might pair up nicely for viewers who want to switch over to Dollhouse at 9:00.
Vampire Diaries is already on my hot list as it stars Ian Somerhalder as one of two vampire brothers caught in a love triangle with a mortal girl. Wow, two sets of supernatural brothers on Thursday nights, i may need to keep a defibrillator beside my couch!

Oh dang it! I mean this show looks good and all, and the cast members are gorgous, but I LOVED Thursday night cuz of Smallville and Supernatural..I’ve always sat down and happily watched them both, and Smallville’s moving?! NOOOOO!!!! This ruins everything! :’( It’s always been Smallville and Supernatural, that’s just how it was.
I saw a few clips and I really like the evil brother (played by Ian Sommerhalder). He’s funny and evil and very awesome!
I’m definitely gonna watch the pilot! I hope it’s not too much like a vamped Gossip Girl but has a good story like Supernatural or Buffy!
If VD turns out to be crap, I will wait for V, I really liked the promo of that show!
I’m so sad that Smallville doesn’t team up with Supernatural anymore. They were an awesome team!!!! I hope they can do well on Friday! I wish the CW had ordered a Aquaman or Green Arrows spin-off that would have been an awesome Friday!!!!!
