Could There Be a Season Six for Supernatural?

As Warner Brothers officially announces the release date of Season Four on DVD, the Internet is a buzz about the idea of a Season Six for Supernatural.
At last week’s Supernatural convention in the UK, Jared Padalecki was quoted as saying that he and co-star Jensen Ackles both had six year contracts. Where creator Eric Kripke was only signed for five. This has always been the case, but a half a year ago Jared and Jensen were both leaning heavily on the idea that they’d be leaving when Kripke left — at the end of year five.
Today, TVGuide’s Matt Mitovich addressed the question in his column saying that CW boss Dawn Ostroff might “override” the five year plan and extend the show if the ratings keep going through the roof as they did this past year.
Smallville without Gough and Millar, Buffy without Joss Whedon and now Supernatural without Eric Kripke?!? What is this world coming to? On the other hand if it’s a choice between Supernatural without and no Supernatural at all, I’d pick the former.
The Supernatural Season 4 DVD streets on September 1, 2009. Special features include:

crap… i was really hoping to have a commentary with Jared/Jensen/Misha on the S4 DVDs, guess i will have to make due with youtube videos from conventions… As long as the gag reel is long, really long – i’ll be happy!
I was so glad to see this article coming up in the news! Given how fantastic the show is now, I was just dreading it ending after only 1 more season!

As much as I would trample/kill for a sixth season of Supernatural, and as much as I love/adore/am scarily obsessed with Sam and Dean, I am kind of torn about the show going on without Eric Kripke. I want Sam and Dean!, not the let’s make money version of “Sam and Dean.” I just don’t want some douchebag to douche up my Supernatural!
I think we should leave only until supernatural season 5 is preferable to finish well

I second your comments Superfreak. I soo totally want/need a Season 6 but would some else really be able to do justice.
i think still it could go ferther with out dean himself just
make the point of sam fall in love with ruby and his powers become even more stronger then they wear be for hi was marred to her and as it gos on
they have kids wich have the same powers as sam and sam teches them to
become as good hunnters as he is to stand by his and rubys side.
It might go seven years or ten years if the writer of Twilight come have Cullens on
