What a contrived piece of drek! We have this guy, but we can't afford to pay him for the season, so we make him really obnoxious and kill him off in a pointless yet heroic manner (Christopher McDonald). We have this total nebbish who always has something stupid to say (Blue). We have this scientist who we don't trust so we will threaten his life over and over and over during the two painful hours of the pilot (Robert Carlyle, whose talent absolutely wasted on this show). We have two hours of posturing and running back and forth, lots of arguing, and borderline bad acting. The whole thing reminds me of that other piece of frelling drek - Lost. Only its in space. Lost. In Space. Lost In Space! Ahh, that's why we don't trust the scientist, no matter what he does! He's Doctor Smith! Bleh. And for this we get no more Dresden Files? What a waste "Sy Fy" has become under its current administration. If not for Eureka, Warehouse 13 - oops, that's right. Their short season has ended.
