Syfy at TCAs
August 6, 2009 by Cynthia
Yesterday, Syfy had its day at the TCAs. They announced a couple of new projects including an order for Alpha, a 90 minute pilot that follows a team of ordinary citizens who possess extraordinary and unusual mental skills which they use to solve crimes.
Here are a few of the other projects they’re working on:
Alice - This is the modernized retelling of the Alice in Wonderland story that is set to air in December. It has a great cast including Tim Curry, Harry Dean Stanton and Andrew Lee Potts from Primeval. It was also directed by Nick Willing who helmed Syfy’s Tin Man, so expect something dark and off the wall.

A few Stargate Universe cast members were on hand to talk about the newest series in the franchise. Here’s (l-r) Robert Carlyle, Ming-Na, David Blue, Lou Diamond Phillips.
The TV Addict has good coverage of the panel. Beware of spoilers though mild they may be. Ming-Na talks about the event on her Twitter and if you like spoilers, SFWire laughs that no one told Carlyle not to spoil — as he gives out plenty of scoop.
