Stargate Universe: AIR: PART 2

With the air supply failing on the Destiny, a team disembarks to a desert-like planet in search of the mineral needed to scrub the ship’s air of carbon dioxide. After testing numerous sand samples without success, and with their window of opportunity closing fast, the group opts to split into two to cover more ground, despite the unbearable heat. While one team presses on to find the treasured mineral, the other has another goal in mind. When it is apparent that Dr. Rush (ROBERT CARLYLE) can’t go on, Lt. Scott (BRIAN J. SMITH) decides to go it alone and orders Sgt. Greer (JAMIL WALKER SMITH) to return to safety with the exhausted scientist.
Meanwhile, with life on the ship looking bleak, and with the aid of the communication stones, Col. Young (LOUIS FERREIRA) reports in to O’Neill, and Chloe (ELYSE LEVESQUE), has one last chance to see her mother.

what happened to the chick and the dude who went through the stargate against orders?
i want to like this series…i really do but…what happened to the 2 people who went through the gate to another world–we can assume they did’nt get back as the wormhole closed and they never received another dialer…
…and why are we left to wonder if, then assume that, Chloe swapped bodies with someone unknown person on her return to earth…for that matter what exactly did Rush do when he stole Dr. Lee’s body in the first two episodes?
…and the u add to all this the pod which left the ship at the end of the episode….?!? Sure Sci-fi is all-about imagination but all i see so-far is a wanna-be Battlestar Galactica story (replete with the pseudo mad-scientist leader who got them into the situation because of his misguided search for love; u’ll see ascension will figure into this) about a young girl (target audience?) who’s lost her single-minded but self-sacrificing daddy (another ascension scenario?), whose mommy drinks, and who has typical attachment issues but now has a love interest…
…hero number one of the latest expedition is an over-weight brilliant but under-achieving couch-potato (audience 2) who has the mantle of responsibility thrust upon him by…hero number two, the (reluctant solder ?)straight laced clean cut hot shot male lead, who on top of all that turns out to be a fallen priest candidate (audiences 3-5)?
Don’t even get me started about the angry black man……….!
