CBS Announces Premiere Dates

June 24, 2009 by Cynthia

GHOST WHISPERERCBS doesn’t have much in the way of genre shows this year, but they did pick up Medium when NBC let it go. In what seems like a strange bit of scheduling, they lined Medium up with Ghost Whisperer on Friday nights. Aren’t those two a bit similar to run back to back like that?

The new Friday lineup begins on September 25.

For you Alex O’Loughlin fans, you’ll have to wait until October 4 before seeing him in his new series Three Rivers. That will make it one of the last new shows to debut in the fall which I suppose, could work in its favor.  It’s up against Desperate Housewives, Family Guy and Football. What do you make of that?

Vampire Ghosts on Ghost Whisperer Tonight

May 8, 2009 by Cynthia

There are just two more episodes of Ghost Whisperer left this season so I’ve got a ton of GW stuff for you.

First off, tonight’s episode is extra spooky because it’s about a vampire ghost and that’s a new one on me.

In “Endless Love” a series of very strange and disturbing hauntings perplex Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) until Eli’s (Jamie Kennedy) ex-girlfriend, occult professor Zoe (Jaclyn DeSantis), finds the thread that connects the clues. Only problem is, her explanation is unthinkable: something undead is haunting Grandview. And it won’t rest till it’s taken its intended victim — a vulnerable high school co-ed (Alexa Vega) — to join it in death. (Photo: Vivian Zink/ABC Studios)

Before the episode begins at 8:00 (on CBS), stop by the special Vampire Ghost Interactive Journey site made just for you GW fans.

And because you guys always ask about the music, here’s what you’ll get tonight:
— “Disappear” by piano-rockers The Gabe Dixon Band (Concord Music Group)
— Siri Svegler’s “Their Wine” (Compost Records)
— Indie stars Luscious Redhead’s “Don’t You Dig Too Deep”

Visit the My Space page for the full music playlist.

Last but not least, James Van Praagh has a new book. It’s called “Unfinished Business: What the Dead Can Teach Us About Life.”

In order to do this, Marc will need your help decoding the EVPs he’s using to communicate? Is there love after death? You’ll have from now until April 27th to find out.

Episode one, The Haunting, is live right now and while you’re at the website, enter to win a trip to the Ghost Whisperer set in Hollywood, California.

Join the Ghost Whisperer Scavenger Hunt

March 10, 2009 by Cynthia

If you’re a Ghost Whisperer fan, you’ll want to join the hunt and score yourself a special bonus from the series. It’s the Ghost Whisperer Online Scavenger Hunt and it’s on now.

What you need to do is visit a variety of Ghost Whisperer fan sites looking for Season Four Art Cards like the one below. . . sort of.

The cards your looking for all have a mistake on them - one letter that is upside or backwards or perhaps it causes a misspelling. Right that letter down (hangman style) and keep looking. Once you have collected all of the letters, you’ll have the URL to a website with the bonus materials. You’ll find more details on the scavenger hunt sites and to get you started I’ll give you two clues. Check out the celebrity TV Guide Blog HERE and the Ghost Whisperer Twitter HERE.

Good luck and don’t miss a new episode of Ghost Whisperer, this Friday, the 13th on CBS.

Ghost Whisperer’s Top 10 Haunted Colleges

February 12, 2009 by Cynthia

No, that’s not the unknown comic making a comeback in the photo. It’s a still from this week’s episode of Ghost Whisperer where Melinda investigates a sorority pledging ritual that went dangerously awry.

In honor of “Greek Tragedy,” the folks at Ghost Whisperer have put together a list of the Top 10 Haunted Colleges in America and they also invite you to tell your own spook school tales in their forum.

Topping the list? Our Lady of the Lake in Texas. Not surprising, since even the name of the college sounds spooky.
