Sookie is forced to cope with Bill’s obligations to Jessica, as well as the romantic inconveniences the teen vampire’s presence creates. True Blood Gets Hot and Steamy in July
June 17, 2009 by Cynthia
July in the South is hot and muggy and you can bet that heat will find its way into upcoming episodes of True Blood.
(SPOILER ALERT)
Sookie, Bill and Jessica will be taking a field trip to Dallas but they’re in for a surprise when they reach the airport. Then it’s off to find missing vampire Godric, but it won’t be easy or safe, especially for Sookie. Bill has problems of his own when he’s confronted by a dark and violent vampire from his past.
Back in Bon Temps, Maryann throws a birthday party for Tara that turns out to be the party of the century thanks to the madam’s magic. Daphne gets a little closer to Sam, Hoyt has got it bad for Jessica and over at The Light of Day camp, Jason is about to face an emotional crisis.
It’s sex, blood and rock and roll and it’s all happening in July on True Blood.

True Blood 101: The Gals
June 10, 2009 by Cynthia
With True Blood coming back in only a couple of days, here’s a quick primer to help you get caught up with the characters.
Sookie Stackhouse is the star of the show. She’s a barmaid at Merlotte’s and she’s also telepathic. If she looks someone right in the eye she can usually read their thoughts - unless that someone is a vampire, which is one of the reasons she started dating Bill.
Sookie’s grandmother, whom she lived with, was murdered last season so now it’s just her and her brother, Jason.
Sookie is played by Anna Paquin.
Tara Thornton is Sookie’s best friend and she’s not afraid to speak her mind. She also works at Merlotte’s and once had a short relationship with the boss.
Tara may seem a little rough around the edges but she only wants what’s best for the people she cares about.
Tara is played by Rutina Wesley
Maryann Forrester claims to be a wealthy social worker who has nothing but good intentions. She bailed Tara out of jail when she was arrested on drunk driving charges, but Tara might have been swerving to avoid a naked Maryann in the road!
True Blood Comes Back with a Bang
May 11, 2009 by Cynthia
True Blood, the sexy, sultry vampire series comes back to HBO in just over a month. The 12-episode second season begins on June 14 and it all begins with a shocking new murder!
True Blood takes place in the not-too-distant future in a time where vampires have come out of the coffin to live among us. It’s all thanks to the invention of a synthetic blood called Tru Blood that allows vampires to survive without feeding on humans. That doesn’t mean that they’ve stopped all together, though. Some vampires still like feeding for sport and for others (and their human partners) it’s one lollapalooza of a sexual high.
Here’s what’s coming up on the second season:

Evan Rachel Wood Is Out for True Blood
April 22, 2009 by Cynthia
Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello is reporting that True Blood creator Alan Ball has cast Evan Rachel Wood in the pivotal role of Sophie-Anne, the vampire Queen of Louisiana!
Sophie-Anne is a 500-year-old vampire from France who is charming, wily, ruthless and wise. She’s a consummate diplomat who has (or had) many of history’s most famous people on speed dial.
A True Blood insider tells Ausiello that Wood is booked for two episodes, both of which will air towards the end of the show’s upcoming second season. But rest assured, if the show is renewed for a third season, Wood will be back.
