A recent poll by TV Guide confirmed what many of our readers have been telling us for years: Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are two of TV’s sexiest stars.

The Supernatural superstars are Nos. 1 and 2 respectively on that site’s list of the sexiest stars in Sci-Fi. CW, not surprisingly came out very well on that list as just behind our favorite duo are Smallville’s Tom Welling and Allison Mack. The list wasn’t all recent favorites as cerebral sex symbols David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson of the X-Files also made the cut.

But back to Jensen and Jared. TV Guide posted some of the most gushing comments as part of their photo gallery and Supernatural fans did not hold back the praise.

Lacy215 declares Jensen not just the sexiest sci-fi star, but the sexiest man on the planet. Sheesh, no pressure to live up to there. JennyluvsJared not just because of his good looks, but his sense of humor. I hear women really do like that - course it doesn’t hurt to look like Jared.

As I mentioned, this pretty much tracks with what our readers have been telling us about Supernatural’s dynamic duo. My only remaining question is: How many of our readers participated in stuffing TV Guide’s online ballot box?

OK, maybe it’s not quite as critical as all that. Still, The Futon Critic tells us that Claire Bennet herself, Hayden Panettiere has been announced as one of the presenters for the historic 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

Heroes earned a nod for Outstanding Drama Series in 2007, by the way.  And in July Hayden picked up a Teen Choice award for Choice Female Actress in a Television Drama Series. The Emmys will emanate from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles Sept. 21 from 8-11 p.m. ET on ABC. I can’t wait to see what the animal lover and fashion plate will be wearing on the Emmy red carpet.

Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello said multiple sources have confirmed to him that Hollywood bad girl Michelle Rodriguez’s Ana Lucia will return to Lost this season.

Ana Lucia was one of the show’s most controversial characters, many fans not shedding any tears when Michael killed her. Ausiello says her return will be a brief one, only a single episode believed to be the second one of the year. Cheech Marin, who portrays Hurley’s dad on the show, also appears in the cast list for that ep so it’s expected to be a Hurley centric adventure. Hurley also saw Charlie last season, who like Ana Lucia is quite dead. So it could be another ghost visitation.

Lost fans, do you want to see Ana Lucia back in any capacity? Or have you had more than enough of the “Tailies?”

Sheriff Carter begins his day by being subjected to his sister Lexi’s “new agey” ways. She’s playing some Egyptian-esque music she composed that will come into play later. It looks like they may be setting her up as a Carter for the original Carter, helping him see things in a different way just in time to save the town.

After that we’re off to help our celebrity archeologist take a mummy out its tomb, with way more technology than is probably necessary. It wouldn’t be Eureka otherwise. Eureka’s resident Egyptologist warns them of a curse on the tomb and of course, no heed is paid to his warning.

That is until the offending scientist and his camerawoman both get mummified. Fargo is convinced he saw the mummy in the memorial hall he’s set up for Dr. Stark. There’s what may be foreshadowing again.

There’s also the side story we knew they had to do, Allison trying to recover from Stark’s death. Carter gives her the logic diamond Stark had left as a wedding gift and she begins having visions of Stark.

But the original mummy disintegrated from extreme dehydration and the plague is not a curse, but a swarm of insects reanimated by radiation used opening the tomb. See, told you they should have just used a crowbar.

In the meantime, Fargo has become a host and now he’s suffering immensely. There’s a tongue-in-cheek Heroes reference when Carter says Save Fargo, Save The Town.

Noting that the camerawoman didn’t disintegrate because she was in very cold water, Carter surmises that could be the cure. The always lucky Fargo gets to be the test case. During his thawing, Stark appears to Allison but everybody sees him this time. It turns out he put a message in the logic diamond so he’d always be with her. Awww…

There’s a funny moment when Fargo tells Allison he was in heaven and saw Dr. Stark and he’s doing OK. The Egyptian psycho-bugs are attracted to Lexi’s new age music, so Carter uses that to lure them all into the fusion-powered freezer at Cafe Diem.

Of course, The Fixer subplot advanced as well. Henry is no longer helping her without some knowledge of what she’s looking for, so she takes a strange cryptic puzzle to Zane. I think she figures him for questionable morals, but I still believe he will side with Carter when the time comes.

Allison watches Stark’s final message to her in a pretty touching scene. He promises not to make the same mistakes he did in their first marriage and that he will never leave her again.

SMALLVILLE: “Odyssey”

THE JUSTICE LEAGUE RETURNS TO FIND CLARK AFTER THE COLLAPSE OF THE FORTRESS; THE NEW CEO OF LUTHORCORP COMES TO TOWN 

The Justice League, lead by the Green Arrow (Justin Hartley), hits the Artic in search of Clark (Tom Welling), who disappeared after the fortress collapsed. The team immediately has a confrontation with the new CEO of Luthorcorp, Tess Mercer (Cassidy Freeman). Meanwhile, Chloe (Allison Mack) is being held prisoner by a suspicious group who has discovered she has a new power, and Clark has been stripped of his powers by Jor-El.

Kevin Fair directed the episode with the story by Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders and teleplay by Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer.

SUPERNATURAL: “Lazarus Rising”

DEAN RETURNS!

It’s four months later and Dean (Jensen Ackles) wakes in a pine box. He’s been freed from Hell. He has a joyful reunion with Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Bobby (Jim Beaver), but it isn’t long before the three wonder what exactly pulled Dean from Hell and what it will want in return.

What have you kept since you were a kid?

Justin: I’ve lived around Chicago my whole life until I moved to LA [as an adult]. As a little kid, my dad and mom took us to Florida for vacation and they took us to the Dodgers spring training camp back when they had Fernando Valenzuela, Steve Garvey and Steve Yeager. They had a great, great team, so I got the ball signed and I became a Dodgers fan when I was a tiny little kid. All through high school, everyone is a Cubs fan or Sox fan and I’m a Dodger fan and everyone is like what’s that all about? So oddly, I end up moving to LA and a couple of months ago my dad sends me this picture of me when I was a kid, standing there with three of the Dodgers. So I have that hanging in my house, the only picture of me I have in my house. I’ve had that forever, well, my family’s had it forever, it’s cool to see a picture of you from 25 years ago.

What’s something you’ve done that there is no way you’re ever doing that again?

Justin: So many things, what can I say. . . a couple of ex-girlfriends . . . no, cleaning my pool equipment! At the beginning of the summer, my pool wasn’t working properly. I found the problem, it wasn’t that big a deal, just something needed to be cleaned out.  I’m unscrewing this and messing with that, and I’m not a really handyman around the house, my hand slips and my arm goes into this metal contraption and I literally sliced myself to the bone. Blood spraying everywhere, I’m getting dizzy, I’ve lost way too much blood, gory scene. So from now on, I don’t do any kind of handyman stuff. I’ll barbeque, but I’m not cleaning anything. My wife, she’s like, ‘this needs to be painted.’ I show her the scar. Do you want this to happen again?

Captain Kirk vs Captain Jack Sparrow?

Justin: I think they would probably meet, and Captain Jack would try to attack Captain Kirk and Kirk would find away to fend him off just for a quick second, enough to say a few of his catch phrases and Captain Jack would appreciate that and they’d probably team up and go at it together. I don’t think they would fight. How can you fight Captain Kirk, for god’s sake. You’d like him, all right dude, let’s hang out.
