May 22, 2009 by Cynthia
“I promised you an eternity of misery. I’m just keeping my word.”
I wasn’t too pulled in by this teaser trailer for the new CW show Vampire Diaries. . . until they got to the brother stuff. Imagine the Winchesters as vampires – yeah, it could go down like this.
Enjoy a first look at Vampire Diaries coming to The CW this fall.
Vampire Diaries Gets Smallville’s Time Slot
May 20, 2009 by Cynthia
It’s not official until tomorrow, but The Hollywood Reporter is saying that The CW is going for Supernatural Thursdays by slotting the new Vampire Diaries in at 8:00 right before Supernatural at 9:00. Smallville will bump to Friday nights which might pair up nicely for viewers who want to switch over to Dollhouse at 9:00.
Vampire Diaries is already on my hot list as it stars Ian Somerhalder as one of two vampire brothers caught in a love triangle with a mortal girl. Wow, two sets of supernatural brothers on Thursday nights, i may need to keep a defibrillator beside my …read more
Alex O’Loughlin Three Rivers Pics
May 20, 2009 by Cynthia
CBS has picked up a medical drama starring our favorite Moonlight man Alex O’Loughlin. Three Rivers deals with a transplant hospital and with that the emotionally complex issues of organ donation.
Here’s how CBS describes it:
Alex O’Loughlin stars as Dr. Andy Yablonski, a highly-skilled workaholic lead organ transplant surgeon whose affable personality and sarcastic wit makes him popular with his patients and colleagues, and Katherine Moennig portrays Miranda Foster, a surgical fellow with a rebellious streak and fiery temper who strives to live up to her deceased father’s excellent surgical reputation.
I’m not a big fan of medical dramas but for Alex, …read more
ABC Adds SciFi Shows to Fall Schedule
May 19, 2009 by Cynthia
Thanks to the power of the Internet, I got to do something today that I always wanted to do — I got to sit in on the ABC Upfronts presentation. While not as star-studded as these events were in the past, they did offer up several lengthy clips of their new TV shows are I found a couple to be excited about.
Coming up in the fall are Flash Forward and Eastwick.
Human Target, Past Life: New on Fox
May 18, 2009 by Cynthia
Fox has two new shows that might of interest but don’t get too hungry because they’re both scheduled as midseason replacements, not new for the fall.
Human Target has several things going for it. It’s based on a DC Comics graphic novel and it stars Mark Valley from Fringe and Chi McBride from Pushing Daisies. It also comes from Wonderland Sound and Vision which is McG and Peter Johnson whom many of you know from Supernatural. Here’s how Fox describes the show:
It takes a brave, selfless man to make himself a “human target” in order to save the lives of those …read more
Dollhouse and Fringe on Fox in the Fall
May 18, 2009 by Cynthia
It’s upfront day and Fox has quite a few sci fi related doings on their 2009-2010 schedule. I’ll have more on the new shows Past Life and Human Target in just a bit, but first there’s this:
Fringe moved to Thursdays at 9:00!!
Supernatural just can’t get a break. First CSI, then Grey’s and now Fringe? I’d venture a guess that Fringe and Supernatural share a lot of the same audience, too. Luckily its a smart audience so we know how to record one and watch the other, but seriously, Thursday nights are way too tight.
Dollhouse is staying on Friday night but …read more
