When Jericho and Moonlight Meet

Scifi fans know Carol Barbee as the executive producer and a writer on the cult favorite series Jericho. But these days, she’s making the Moonlight fans happy because she cast Alex O’Loughlin to star in her new medical drama, Three Rivers.
I met up with Carol at a recent press screening of her new show and here’s what she had to say about casting everyone’s favorite vampire as a top transplant surgeon.

CBS Announces Premiere Dates

CBS doesn’t have much in the way of genre shows this year, but they did pick up Medium when NBC let it go. In what seems like a strange bit of scheduling, they lined Medium up with Ghost Whisperer on Friday nights. Aren’t those two a bit similar to run back to back like that?
The new Friday lineup begins on September 25.
For you Alex O’Loughlin fans, you’ll have to wait until October 4 before seeing him in his new series Three Rivers. That will make it one of the last new shows to debut in the fall which I suppose, …read more

CBS has picked up a medical drama starring our favorite Moonlight man Alex O’Loughlin. Three Rivers deals with a transplant hospital and with that the emotionally complex issues of organ donation.
Here’s how CBS describes it:
Alex O’Loughlin stars as Dr. Andy Yablonski, a highly-skilled workaholic lead organ transplant surgeon whose affable personality and sarcastic wit makes him popular with his patients and colleagues, and Katherine Moennig portrays Miranda Foster, a surgical fellow with a rebellious streak and fiery temper who strives to live up to her deceased father’s excellent surgical reputation.
