Though a couple of my favorites like Killer Shrews made the list, there are a couple I’ve never heard of! Teeth, people? Really?

John Landis Guest Programs TCM in March

American Werewolf in London director, John Landis brings his bizarre sense of humor to Turner Classic Movies this month as he steps into the shoes of the guest programmer.
Landis will join TCM host Robert Osborne to present seven memorable films – including a Buster Keaton classic; three shorts featuring Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle and Mabel Normand; a classic, groundbreaking musical; a cult horror film; and a masterful thriller from Alfred Hitchcock – on Monday, March 16, beginning at 8 p.m. (ET).
2 More Harryhausen Classics Hit DVD
Sony has announced the DVD release of two more remastered and colorized Ray Harryhausen.
It Came from Beneath the Sea and Earth vs. the Flying Saucers will both debut on January 15 with all new audio commentaries, tons of bonus features and an interview with the special effects master himself.
Both movies have been previously released on DVD but not colorized and not with so many extras. If you’re not a fan of the colorization process, fear not, as the original black & white versions are included as well.

All Hail, The Creature Feature!

When I was a kid, I spent every Saturday afternoon sitting in front of the TV watching Dr. Shock and the Creature Double Feature. Dr. Shock was a Philadelphia horror host with slicked back hair, pasty white skin and a set that was decorated with Halloween leftovers from the five and dime. Each week he unveiled a classic B horror or sci fi flick and during the breaks he told corny jokes and palled around with his baby girl Bubbles! I loved every minute of it.
