Battlestar Recap: Blood On the Scales

Our standard warning about character deaths, major spoilers and the further desolation and destruction of the human race here. We mean it. Do not read any further unless you want to know the fates that befall some of our favorite and least favorite humans and Cylons.

Battlestar Galactica Recap: The Oath

Battlestar Galactica Recap: The Oath

And we begin with our usual disclaimer about spoilers. I will say a couple of things in the space. One of the best episodes of this show, I thought. And for BSG, that’s saying a lot. Things like The Final Cylon and the search for a new home are barely touched on here and they didn’t need to be. So much going on, great use of even the minor characters. And the series regulars hit it out of the park as always.

Tonight on Battlestar Galactica: The Oath

If there’s any truth to that saying about it always being darkest before the dawn, the crew of Galactica should be in for bright days soon.
Let’s see, the Colonial fleet’s in mutiny, planet Earth is toast and the president has stopped her cancer treatments. Oh, and at some point Cavil and the rest of the Cylon fleet are going to show up and try to wipe out humankind. Those are just the highlights, really.
There’s still the matter of Starbuck. If her Viper and her corpse are on what’s left on Earth, then what is she exactly?

Do they make …read more

Col. Sanders Can’t Say Frak

Col. Sanders Can’t Say Frak

It seems a contest KFC is running to promote Battlestar Galactica’s final season has become more of a headache than KFC marketing intended.
Topless Robot reports on the tremendous chaos that ensued at the fast food chain when it began a sweepstakes that will award a “Frak Pak” of BSG goodies. But somebody hipped KFC to the knowledge that frak is BSG’s fill-in for another four-letter word. This prompted a change from the “Frak Pak” sweepstakes to the “Can’t Say That Word on Television” Sweepstakes.
Oh, KFC, you tried to be cool and you frakkin’ blew it. If Starbuck were …read more

Galactica: A Great Disquiet Follows My Soul

The identity of the Final Cylon was only the beginning, according to SCI FI Channel. There are only nine episodes left in Battlestar Galactica’s epic run and the ride continues tonight. Now Bill Adama decides to forge an uneasy alliance with the Cylons to try and find another inhabitable planet.

Suffice it to say much of the remaining human race thinks that’s a horrible idea and a mutiny begins. Vice President Tom Zarek is more than happy to make a power play here, and something tells me …read more

With there being no signs of life on Earth people are seriously bummed out.  Roslin can’t even address the people and has Bill get her out of there. In addition to that, she stops going to her medical appointments and begins burning the prophecies.
Research from numerous dig sites indicates the 13th Tribe were Cylons.  What the? Galen Tyrol touches wall and has a flashback that knocks him on his butt. He and all the other Cylons lived on Earth before the nuclear war. Or …read more

Battlestar Galactica Returns Tonight

It is finally time to get the answers we’ve been waiting for for months. Hit drama Battlestar Galactica begins the last leg of its journey tonight at 10 p.m. ET. SCI FI Channel is keeping a ridiculously tight lid on spoilers. So much so that they sent TV critics a preview DVD with the final scene removed.
Most are assuming that scene reveals the long awaited Final Cylon. Seriously, SCI FI Channel, we critics can keep a secret. You can trust us. It hurts a little that you don’t, but I love BSG so much I am going to let …read more

Own a Piece of the Galactica In Auction

In this day and age, no significant show goes off the air without auctioning off several goodies for the collectors. Acclaimed genre show Battlestar Galactica is no exception.
NBC Universal (SCI FI Channel’s parent company) and Propworx are joining for an auction that will benefit the United Way. Items up for bid include Saul Tigh’s eye patch and liquor bottle, and Caprica Six’s sexy red dress. Uh-huh, yeah.
