eFX Announces Star Trek Prop Replicas

eFX is making a name for themselves in the prop replica game and now they’re taking on the mother of all scifi licenses, Star Trek.
I had the pleasure of meeting with these guys and seeing their work close up at the D23 Expo in Anaheim. In addition to their Disney statuettes, they had a 1/48 scale Nautilus that made my husband drool. Great attention to detail and everything they do has this sense of hand-made craftsmanship.
Next on the list is the Mark IX Tricorder as seen in Star Trek: First Contact.

Family Guy’s Goodman Says Make it So!

When Stewie can’t get his questions answered at at Star Trek: TNG reunion con, he takes matters into his own hands. Like any smart toddler, he builds a transporter and beams the entire cast into his bedroom for his own one-on-one Q&A.
It happens tonight on the Family Guy episode “Not All Dogs Go to Heaven.”
Executive Producer David Goodman sat down with reporters this week to talk the episode and how it came about.

Star Trek: TNG Reunion on Family Guy

This March, the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation will lend their voices to a brand new episode of Family Guy on Fox. In “Not All Dogs Go to Heaven,” the Griffin family heads to the annual Quahog Star Trek convention but Stewie blows a fuse when he doesn’t get a chance to ask his favorite Next Gen cast members any questions. He devises a plan, builds a transporter and beams the entire cast to his bedroom so they can spend a fun-filled day together in Quahog.

Trek Reunion on Leverage
Look who showed up to work on Leverage!
The episode is called “The Juror #6 Job” and it features Star Trek: TNG star Brent Spiner as the owner of a supplement company accused in a wrongful death suit. The episode was directed by his former commander on TNG, Jonathan Frakes. But that’s not all. The episode also features Armin Shimerman of Deep Space Nine and Buffy: The Vampire Slayer.
