Minuteman revolves around Captain Lance Deakin (Riley Smith) who, after returning to civilian life as a Texas rancher, is attacked by members of his former Special Forces unit. Brainwashed by the military and turned into killing machines, Lance remembers their top secret missions in Iraq only as Minuteman, the hyper-violent video game they used to play while on tour. With Lance desperately trying to piece together what actually happened, his former comrades are closing in on him and his fiancee to take them out. Lance is quickly running out of time to uncover the truth and save the woman he loves.

To spice up this independent film, the movie will have a video game element — but to be honest, the description of how it will be integrated leaves me a bit confused. Here’s how the production company describes it.

Minuteman is an interactive war game that shows the film’s Minuteman characters in combat action. Cutting between the video game and the movie enhances the mystery, power and adrenaline rush of the film. Highly talented director Mark Millhone has come up with a fresh and innovative way of captivating his audience.

Hey, if it means seeing Christian Kane rockin and rollin’, I’m there.

The film, from Dreamfly Productions, will begin shooting in Texas next week.

Supernatural’s Nicki Aycox (aka Meg) plays a deep undercover cop on TNT’s newest crime drama Dark Blue.

Leverage, now in its second season, stars Christian Kane of Angel, Aldis Hodge who played Jake on Supernatural and Gina Bellman starred in that wonderful BBC series Jekyll.

The party was at The Lucky Strike in Hollywood and everyone from Leverage was there including Aldis Hodge, whom some of you know as Jake from Supernatural — the guy who killed Sam! Also Gina Bellman from that fabulous BBC show Jekyll and Timothy Hutton who plays the boss of this gang of crazy people.

Before we went bowling, we all sat down for a chat and I thought you’d enjoy hearing what Christian Kane had to say about stunts, Angel, and whether or not Eliott (his character on Leverage) could beat Lindsey’s butt.

You’ll also hear executive producer John Rogers and I think Gina Bellman may sneak in for a comment or two.

It’s A-Team meets Mission Impossible and it’s not to be missed.  Leverage premieres on December 7 on TNT.
