With heroes and villains alike rendered powerless by another solar eclipse, Primatech and Pinehearst continue their battle for humanity’s future. It’s just going to be a little harder to fight without superpowers. You know, actual fisticuffs and maybe even some thinking before acting. Nah, Peter Petrelli’s still around. All that thinking is for suckers.
And without powers, is Claire Bennet still the catalyst that can give people powers? More importantly, can she survive a gaping bullet wound without her special abilities?

When last we left our Heroes, Arthur Petrelli had just removed Hiro’s ability to travel through space and time. That is the definition of not good. Tonight, Matt Parkman tries to communicate with Angela Petrelli, who is trapped in a coma.
Peter is concerned because he knows Future Claire will kill him. And Mohinder realizes he really jacked up the formula and is trying to put things right. Maybe Mohinder and Peter should just go somewhere and chill out. So far, their attempts to “help” have been pretty disastrous. I’m just saying.

Tonight on Heroes, we’re going to learn more about what makes Claire Bennet special. Other than being incredibly hot, we mean. Remember Sylar told Claire he couldn’t kill her if he had wanted to.
While Peter, who has Claire’s powers, can be killed by bullets in the back of the head or decapitation ala Highlander. Oh and by the way, two characters are taking the long day’s journey into night, so to speak. Our Superhero Profiles says that both a hero and villain will die tonight. “Save Ourselves, Save the World.” No sci-fi show currently going refers to as many other genre shows or movies as Heroes, so it’s only fitting that they riff on themselves to begin this season.
The big question at the end of last season was Who Shot Nathan Petrelli? They don’t make us wait long for the answer.
