It’s the start of the sixth season for the Ghost Hunters and it’s also their 100th episode. In order to make it really special, Jason, Grant and the rest of the team – plus guest investigators Barry FitzGerald and Dustin Pari from Ghost Hunters International – will take on their biggest case yet: Alcatraz!

The Rock, as it’s also known, is an island fortress off the coast of San Francisco and you can bet life there wasn’t easy for the prisoners who lived and died there. No wonder there have been so many paranormal events inside those walls.

The Alcatraz case will be presented on March 3rd within a LIVE, 2-hour interactive fan event hosted by Destination Truth’s Josh Gates.

Josh will then return on Wednesday, March 17 @ 10pm with a thrilling new slate of adrenaline-fueled adventures on Destination Truth. The new episodes kick off with a St. Patrick’s Day theme as the crew heads to Ireland in search of the legendary leprechaun. From there, Josh and crew will travel to the U.S., Jordan, Israel, China, New Zealand and Chile, seeking answers to the world’s greatest mysteries and myths.

Ghost Hunters: Ghost of Buffalo Bill

Air Date: November 4 on Syfy

The West is about to get a whole lot wilder.

Warehouse 13’s Eddie McClintock dons Ghost Hunters gear for a special TAPS investigation. Today, the team tackles the haunted gravesite of the legendary Buffalo Bill.

Violent, invisible forces are believed to haunt the area. The mysterious specter of a cowboy has been spotted in the neighboring museum. Spooky whispers echo through the building’s empty halls.

Could TAPS have a close encounter with our nation’s greatest showman? Or will they run into more hostile spirits?

“Oakland Hall” – Eaton, Georgia

And later in the episode, residents of Oakland Hall are scared senseless. For the past three years, a strange spirit has haunted the home, causing visitors to feel nauseated and sick. TAPS heads in to investigate.

Built in the early 1800s, Oakland Hall survived General Sherman’s famous “March to the Sea.” Today, the ghost of a mentally ill child is believed to haunt the premises. Electronics turn on and off, and apparitions have been spotted on the grounds.

DESTINATION TRUTH – FALL FINALE
“Bhutan Yeti”

In the fall finale, Josh and the rest of the Destination Truth crew travel to Bhutan, Nepal to continue their search of the Yeti, after their exciting discovery of a mysterious footprint during a past investigation.

This timeless myth proves once again to yield fruitful results for the team, and they return to the United States with more startling evidence of the elusive creature..

Congress Theater -Chicago, Illinois

For their next investigation, TAPS packs up their gear and heads to the Windy City. Mysterious paranormal activities at the Congress Theater have employees and visitors spooked senseless.

The Congress Theater is a famous Chicago landmark that has inhabited the city since 1926. Beyond the auditorium and stage is a dark, twisted labyrinth of old dressing rooms, rickety catwalks and desolate corridors. For decades, theater employees claim to have seen and heard the unexplainable—floating apparitions walking off balconies and voices arguing when no one is there.

Could phantoms of the past be haunting the theater?

DESTINATION TRUTH: “HAUNTED LOST CITY / THUNDERBIRD”

Haunted Lost City – Peru

Leads team into the rugged mountains of Peru to investigate claims that the Incan ruins there are haunted. Shrouded in the Andes mountains, the Incan city disappeared half a millennia ago: the residents reportedly buried their gold in the tunnels underneath the city and committed suicide before the Spanish conquistadors could invade. Today, local farmers claim that their animals react violently when passing by the ruins.

Josh and his team are the first to head to the region with a camera crew and stay overnight. Midway up the trail, the team’s horses start to panic inexplicably; the locals will head no further and take their animals back down with them, leaving Josh and team to continue on their own.

The investigation yields such compelling audio and visual evidence that Josh calls on expert analysts Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango from Ghost Hunters to determine whether the Lost City is still inhabited with spirits.

Thunderbird – Alaska

The team takes their adventures to Alaska, where locals claim a giant winged bird is terrorizing their community. A nocturnal creature said to be part bird, part reptile, the “Thunderbird” has recently been sighted soaring high over the Alaskan landscape by local pilots. Josh and crew set out for a sub-zero exploration of the artic terrain.

Chullachaqui – Peru

Joined by special guest stars Robb Demarest and Dustin Pari from Ghost Hunters International, Josh and team make their way to the jungles of Peru, where a terrifying creature resembling a gremlin is reportedly terrorizing the locals.

Bermuda Triangle

Josh and his team take on the age-old legend of the Bermuda Triangle, an area in the Atlantic Ocean infamous for pulling planes out of the sky and swallowing ships into the sea. It is believed that the triangle’s strange energy vortexes appear at the same locations again and again, so the team plans to chart a direct course through each known coordinate where ships and planes had disappeared. As a result, they manage to collect a phenomenal amount of evidence, including strong electromagnetic disturbances and a mysterious image on their IR camera.

Alien Mummies – Chile

Josh and team embark on their first UFO investigation in Chile, where, according to experts, an alien mummy was exhumed in the desert thousands of miles south of Lima. The stretch of land in-between is believed to be swarming with extraterrestrial activity. Locals also claim to see live aliens wandering around in the dark, mysterious lights in the sky and disembodied voices.

Van Lake Monster – Turkey

Josh and the team engage in a fishing trip they won’t ever forget: something massive may be lurking in a lake in Van, Turkey. The lake, nearly the size of Rhode Island, is supposedly home to an animal that that measures more than 40 feet long, with dark scaly skin and a long spiny back. Though the myth stretches years back in Turkish history, nobody has yet proven if the monster exists or not.

During a search on the lake’s surface, Josh catches something long, and serpentine on the thermal imagery monitor. The team returns to the US and takes their findings to a professor at Santa Barbara for analysis.

Tonight, it’s a very special episode of Ghost Hunters as legendary performing artist Meat Loaf joins the team for an investigation at one of the finalist locales from last year’s “Great American Ghost Hunt” search, a haunted private island in Thousand Islands, NY.

Stretching over 4 acres, the island boasts a towering 10-bedroom mansion and boathouse. The area was formerly part of the Underground Railroad and was also used as a monastery. The Claudia family has owned the premises for the past 50 years; however, they may not be the only ones inhabiting the island.

Floating heads, phantom music and glowing figures have scared the Claudias and their houseguests senseless. It’s up to the Ghost Hunters to flush out the spooks and stop them from disturbing the peace.

In this chilling episode, the team embarks on a paranormal investigation at the desolate site of the world’s worst nuclear accident: the Chernobyl power plant, located in what is now the Ukraine. The tragic disaster in 1986 resulted in numerous deaths, and today, some locals living on the edge of the disaster zone tell stories about apparitions of the deceased still present among the affected towns, particularly in the abandoned town of Pripyat, the former home for the Chernobyl workers.

The Destination Truth crew is the first film crew ever to obtain permits and film inside the Chernobyl reactor zone overnight. After gathering their research, Josh and team use high tech anti-radiation suits and travel through several remote checkpoints before entering the abandoned towns. Armed with high-tech dosimeters and Geiger counters to measure radiation, the team begins a nail-biting investigation of one of the world’s most devastated destinations. Ghost Hunters Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson make a guest appearance to help analyze the team’s footage.

Destination Truth kicks in at 10:00

Location: Island of the Dolls / Lusca
South of Mexico City in the last of the old Aztec canals, there is an island that visitors claim is overrun by thousands of haunted dolls. The island’s caretakers hung up these dolls to ward off the spirit of a young girl who had drowned there while visiting the island. Don Julian, the caretaker, was found dead in the same canal where the young girl drowned. Now, locals claim his spirit also haunts the island. Josh and team’s chilling nighttime pursuit amongst the throng of sinister dolls yields some of their compelling on-camera evidence yet!

From there, the crew dives headfirst into the deep waters surrounding Andros Island in the Bahamas in search of the most feared monster in the ocean – the eight-legged Lusca. The creature is said to lurk in the region’s menacing underwater labyrinth of caves and tunnels, far below the stunning, crisp scenery above sea level. Josh, a scuba enthusiast always up for the next diving adventure, gears up to navigate this seemingly endless maze in search of the truth behind the Caribbean’s most infamous legend.

It was later turned into a working prison where suicides and violence were rampant. For years, inmates and guards claim to have seen apparitions walking the halls of the jail. Odd noises continue to be heard at night—footsteps, voices and moaning echoes through the hallways when no one is there. Eyewitnesses report feeling intense dread and cold, invisible fingertips brush against their skin.

This time the Ghost Hunters will be helping Josh out as he and his team investigate paranormal activity in the Hoia Baciu woods of Romania. The area is also known as The Bermuda Triangle of Transylvania — so not good.

According to local authorities, the forest is home to numerous sightings of apparitions and fleeting beams of light. In addition, these experts have remained puzzled about the presence of a “crop circle” in the forest, a mysteriously sparse patch of land devoid of the thick vegetation that surrounds it.

After a nearly fatal flight that ends in an emergency landing when the roof of their small aircraft is forcefully detached from the plane in mid-air, the crew is finally able to track the crop circle area and set up for their investigation. In one fearful moment, the team comes to the rescue of their cameraman, who is knocked to the ground in the crop circle by an invisible energy.

In the second investigation, the team heads to the Yucatán to explore the myth of the Alux, a pygmy like creature reported by Maya people. Josh leads the crew on a trek deep into remote caves to hunt for the truth behind this ancient legend.

Robert Carlyle (Trainspotting, The Full Monty), Lou Diamond Phillips (Numb3rs), Ming-Na (ER, Vanished), Alaina Huffman (Smallville), and David Blue (Moonlight) star in this series about a group of soldiers, scientists and civilians, who are forced through a Stargate when their hidden base comes under attack. Instead of coming through on another planet, they find themselves on the starship Destiny which is locked on an unknown course.
