If you have a young scifi fan in your house, tune in to Disney XD channel on November 27 at 5:00 pm for the premiere of their new scifi adventure Skyrunners. The movie was written by Richard C. Okie (“Quantum Leap” and “Earth: Final Conflict”) and the alien creature effects were designed by Weta Workshop Ltd., the Academy Award-winning special effect shop that work on The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Chronicles of Narnia” films so it has a great scifi pedigree.

I am such a scifi geek that just seeing this picture makes me want to bow down and declare, “I am not worthy!” And that’s what might happen tomorrow when I stand before the actual prop — the real 11-foot Nautilus from Disney’s 1954 film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

File this one under “Old School,” as Disney Interactive Studios will release the classic arcade game Discs of Tron Feb. 13 on Xbox Live Arcade for the 360. The updated game features a 3D arena to battle Sark as well as classic, enhanced and multiplayer modes. The original Tron arcade game, considered by many as much of a classic as the movie, is also available on Xbox Live.
